You can only sing as loud as you live,” says gospel artist Darius Twyman, a Detroit native whose career began in 1991 with the Abundant Life Fellowship Chorale on the Tyscot label, where he wrote notable songs such as “Got to tell it & None but the Righteous” . A gifted songwriter and vocalist, Darius has written and recorded with icons including Rev. Donald Vails, Dorinda Clark Cole, Wanda Nero Butler, Men of Standard, Lexi, George “P-Funk” Clinton, and many more. His voice can be heard on projects by Pastor Tolan Morgan, Derrick Milan, the late Rev. James Moore, and Larry Callahan. You may have also seen Darius sharing the stage with Grammy Award Winning Artist such as Kidd Rock, Diana Ross, Michael McDonald, & David Peston In 1995, Darius founded Darius Twyman & Destiny, a dynamic group dedicated to ministering through music. Their debut album Fulfilling My Destiny produced hits such as Coming Soon ,Movin’ Up, and the ever popular I’ve Got a Job, a song so impactful that hip-hop icon turned pastor Mason Betha (Mase) dedicated an entire chapter to it in his book Revelations, titled Working for Jesus.
